SOCHI, Dec 8 (PRIME) -- Russia fulfils its obligations on energy supplies to Greece and other European states, and is ready to raise the shipments if necessary, President Vladimir Putin said following negotiations with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Wednesday.

“Russia covers over 40% of Greece’s needs in natural gas. Supplies are performed among other ways via the new TurkStream pipeline. We have increased exports by over 12% to 3 billion cubic meters this year,” he said.

“Russia has always fulfilled scrupulously its contract obligations to both Greek and other European partners and consumers. We will continue secure and consistent supplies of energy resources,” he added.

Putin also said that the Russian side has prepared agreements on maritime safety, tourism, finances, high technologies to Mitsotakis’s visit.

The Greek official said that Russia is a stable and advantageous partner for Greece.
